Villa Glaros is located on the rim of the beautiful village of Agkeria, in the south of the island. From our hill, we have - like a seagull - a breathtaking sea view to the port of Alyki and Antiparos.The airport of Paros is a 10-minute drive away.
There are many beautiful beaches around, like the famous beach of Faragas and Piso Alyki. At the picturesque fishing village of Alyki you will find traditional taverns with delicious fresh food, cafes and many other facilities (supermarket, pharmacy, bakery etc).
The hills behind the villa offer great hiking opportunities. The majority of the islands best beaches with diverse water sports (including diving, wind- and kite surfing) are close by. The south coast also invites you to explore many secluded coves with crystal clear water, perfect snorkelling territory.
The house is surrounded by colorful mediterranean plants and herbs. Our vegetable patch with seasonal fruits and vegetables is of course available to our guests during their stay.
For many people, Paros is the most authentic of the Cyclades. One of the larger islands, it has something for everyone, young or old, party-goers or culture-seekers, bourgeois or bohemian. Amongst its many attractions are buzzing little towns, myriad beaches, world-famous windsurfing conditions, gourmet restaurants, sleepy traditional villages with waterfront fish tavernas, religious, cultural and historical sites, and a vibrant nightlife scene.
Thanks to the relatively limited distances involved - the island measures less than 25km from north to south - it is easy to explore in full in a week or two, no matter where you're staying. Its mountainous hinterland, with peaks rising up to around 700m, is dotted with the occasional monastery and crisscrossed by old mule tracks. Down on the coast, meanwhile, there is an array of beautiful sandy beaches and idyllic coves, waiting to be explored during a day boat trip.
Hi! This is Elena and Marc, the owners of the villa Glaros. We live and work in Germany as medical professionals. In the year 2020, we have managed to make our dream come true! Our house on our favorite island, Paros, was finished.
Many years now, we spend our holidays in Paros and got to know the island better and better. Once we saw the plot in the south of the island, we knew, this is it.! We always wanted to build a house in the traditional Cycladic style, without missing modern conveniences. We travel often to Paros, but still, we think it’s a pity for the house, not to be inhabited more frequently. That’s why we decided to share our experience of living in a traditional village of the island with our guests from all over the world.

The 160 sqm are handicapped accessible built on one floor without steps. The entrance of the house opens directly into a living-dining area from where you can go to the shaded veranda overlooking the pool.A corridor to the left leads to the separate and quiet bedroom area with 2 bedrooms, each with 1 double bed and a shared bathroom with shower. On the same side is also an additional toilet. On the other side of the living room is the master bedroom with private bathroom. All bedrooms have sea view and access to the terrace. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and wardrobes. On the private outdoor terrace there are two shaded living areas with wooden pergolas, one of them as a cozy outdoor lounge protected from the summer wind Meltemi, with a dining area and a comfortable living area, with couch and sun loungers, where you can relax all day. From the large (12 x 2.5 m) infinity pool, in the middle of the spacious terrace you can enjoy the great view.An outdoor shower, provides refreshment before and after swimming.The kitchen is fully equipped and available to guests.
